Transcript.upload a video to Ensemble
To upload a video to Ensemble, go to media.whdl.org
Login with the credentials you were provided. No login? Ask Fred LaPlante.
click the green "Add" button on the left-hand side of the screen
Enter the information, paying attention to required fields; add keywords.
Enter credits, then click "Add Credit"
When you have finished entering all the information, click the green "Continue" button (either on the top or bottom right)
Click "Add file" to browse your computer's files and attach your video. or drag your video from its file location to the "add file" area
Once you have added your file, click "Start Upload"
At the bottom of the page, you will see the status of your video. It may have a status of "waiting for conversion" for 5-10 minutes.
After a few minutes, the status will change to "Ready"
You may annotate or caption your video by clicking the "Annotate" or "Caption" tabs (these tabs will not show up until the video status says "ready")
To annotate, begin typing at the point in the video at which you want to add text (the video will pause while you type). When you are finished typing a section, click "save," then continue to the next section.
when you are finished, click "Continue"
You may also attach a transcript. click the "Manage contents" tab on the left-hand side of the page. Select the type of file you want to add, then either select file using the "add files" button or drag and drop the file, then select "start upload"
When you are finished uploading, annotating/captioning, and uploading files, you are ready to publish. Click the Publish tab from the left-hand side, choose your library (if there is more than one), and click the green "Publish" tab on the bottom right. You will see your video at the bottom of the screen with a status of "Published"
